Ellie Goulding’s smash hit, ‘Lights’ has been remixed countless times since its release in February of last year; most notably by dubstep master, Bassnectar. This gem by The Hood Internet, which smushes (haha smush) Ellie with Kanye West is my opinion, the best rendition of Ms. Goulding’s original track. This remix features her lyrics backed by the Portland Cello Project’s take on AOTL with a little of the instrumentation from Kanye’s original work thrown in for good measure. The opening bars to this track are just phenomenal to me. The horns mesh extremely well with the cello work of the PCP. Overall, this is just an awesome listen. When music hits me a certain way, i tend to break out into uncontrollable excited laughter. Let’s just say this track had me rolling…
